Golden Pagoda

The Golden Pagoda, also known as Kongmu Kham, is a spectacular Burmese-style Buddhist pagoda located at Noi Cheyman in Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh. Inaugurated in 2010, this 20-hectare sacred site features a 17.6-meter-tall main shrine adorned with intricate gold-leaf designs and a revered Buddha statue. As a cultural cornerstone for the Tai Khamti people, it hosts vibrant festivals such as Kathina and the International Maha Sangken, bringing together pilgrims and travelers to celebrate devotion and peace.

Beyond its stunning architecture, Kongmu Kham offers a tranquil environment for meditation, spiritual learning, and cultural research with its monastery and dedicated facilities. Set amidst beautifully landscaped gardens and a serene pond, the Golden Pagoda stands as a symbol of harmony, heritage, and hospitality—making it the region’s most iconic retreat for those seeking spiritual and cultural immersion in eastern Arunachal Pradesh.
